When it comes to apparel design there are many decisions to be made. What type of apparel item, what colors, which design, and of course where to place the design(s). Our team can help you with the embroidered placement and make sure your custom apparel is everything you want and more.
The left chest embroidery placement is the most popular placement for embroidery on a shirt, polo, jacket. This spot is reserved for the logo of a company, team, school, or organization. The standard size is 3.5 x 2”, with the largest design size of 5” x 5”. These measurements are the same for an embroidered design above a pocket.
The same embroidery placement also applies to the right chest placement. This placement is most commonly used for personalization when a logo or other design is placed on the left.
A back tag is generally stitched 5” down from the back collar, centered between the shoulder. The tag is typically used for a logo icon or other small icon design and can be up to 3.5” x 3.5” but is typically 1”- 2”.
On a short sleeve, the sleeve tag is placed 1” from the bottom seam and is used for a full logo, logo icon, or text. This design or text can be up to 3.5” x 3.5” but is typically 1”- 2”.
A sleeve tag on a long sleeve is typically reserved for a logo icon and is placed 5” down from the top seam.
An embroidered design or text on the back of a jacket can be up to 10”x10”. This placement can be used for a large logo, text, design, or even multiple logos for a sponsor jacket.
