Left Chest
The left chest embroidery location is the most popular placement for embroidery on a shirt, polo, jacket. This spot is reserved for the logo of a company, team, school, or organization. The standard size is 3.5 x 2”, with the largest design size of 5” x 5”. These measurements are the same for an embroidered design above a pocket..
Back Tag
A back tag is generally stitched 5” down from the back collar, centered between the shoulder. The tag is typically used for a logo icon or other small icon design and can be up to 3.5” x 3.5” but is typically 1”- 2”.
Right Chest
The same embroidery placement also applies to the right chest placement. This placement is most commonly used for personalization when a logo or other design is placed on the left.
Sleeve Tag
On a short sleeve, the sleeve tag is placed 1” from the bottom seam and is used for a full logo, logo icon, or text. This design or text can be up to 3.5” x 3.5” but is typically 1”- 2”. A sleeve tag on a long sleeve is typically reserved for a logo icon and is placed 5” down from the top seam.
Back
An embroidered design or text on the back of a jacket can be up to 10”x10”. This placement can be used for a large logo, text, design, or even multiple logos for a sponsor jacket.
